Houses II

These three 6" by 6" art works will be in the Katonah Museum of Art exhibition called Beyond the Bed: The American Quilt Evolution.  The exhibit is a collaboration between the Museum and Northern Star Quilt Guild.  There will be many small works on display between February 24 and June 16 and all of them will be for sale.

Metal V

The canvas is painted gold and the maple leaf is copper metal mesh.

Seeds VII

Since this is the seventh "seeds" art piece, I think I have finally created a series.

Berry Twigs

I can't believe I didn't post any quilt art all last year. Ikandu has a lot of catching up to do.

This small piece will be part of an exhibit by FiberArt NorthEast which will be held during the month of May at Mahopac Library. It's made with silk and the shiny pieces are metal.

My Best Art Once Removed

The last of my Best Art Once Removed - at least this is what I'm told. Catherine Nancy who is called Cate is adorable, fiesty, knows exactly what she wants, and will tell you in no uncertain terms when she's displeased with what's going on.

Illustration Friday Display

Back in 2008, I created small pieces using the words from a web site called Illustration Friday as my inspiration. I used 48 of the 52 words they emailed that year (see Illustration Friday) and then had to figure out what to do with the finished pieces. I finally found two old window frames at a place in Maine called FIFI (for Finally I Found It!). They are perfect for displaying 45 of my 48 little inspirations!

Illustration Friday Display also

A second, smaller window frame holds the rest of the Illustration Friday pieces.
