This Is Not A Sketchbook

I am participa-
ting in a Sketch-
book Project run by the Brooklyn Library. A couple of thousand people have joined the project, and the books will be sent to different venues around the country. When someone "takes out" my book, I will be able to find out through the internet what they think or have to say. I took the photos this summer and fall. The interpretations are made from cotton, wool, paper, yarn and paint.

These lilies are actually from my garden in Maine!

This picture and the next 5 are from other gardens in Maine.

Sun through fall leaves - nothing prettier!

Fabulous gourds!

Dragonfly

This quilt has been donated to SAQA, an art quilt association that I belong to. Along with over 200 other one foot square quilts, it will be auctioned off starting in September. This is a great way to buy a small work of art. See for yourself at

Rousseau-ish

I made this quilt for a challenge based on the work of artist Henri Rousseau. The challenge was cancelled but I finished the piece anyhow. I looked at several of Rousseau's paintings to make my own fabric "painting" in the style of Rousseau.
